981. MWDs and Missions - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Speed would be abused in the missions just about as much as it is abused in PVP, and they didn't want that.

982. Rethinking Concept of High, Low and Null Security Space - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If we're talking big changes like this, what I'd like to see is constellations and regions meaning something. Currently, empire regions have a random spread of high- and lowsec systems, and also seem to be connected at random with other regions. ...

983. Is there anything I can do with the time I put in? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You can't take the skills you've put into your old character out, in any way. The only thing you can do is sell the character for ISK. You probably won't get much, but anything is better than nothing.

It's a bug that they've been refusing to fix for the past month or so, and believe me, we've complained, to no effect.

985. What do you make of this? Is it isk laundering? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Actually, certain skillbooks aren't available in every region, so profit can be made by buying them where they're sold and selling them in other regions where they're needed. Your drone specialization skills are an example, I think only a few Gall...

986. Reflection on the state of the economy - Part II! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Letouk Mernel on 01/05/2008 17:57:57 I disagree with your preference of contracts. I think that the contract system sucks, and not because of any of the reasons that you've listed. Simply, it is cumbersome, and it doesn't offer the...

988. What do I want to be? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
As far as goals, it also helps to realize that the higher end T2 ships (HACs, HICs, Recons, etc.) and the Capital Ships (dreadnoughts, carriers, jump freighters, Rorqual, etc.) are end-game gear, and you can't jump into them instantly, much like y...

989. Moons, Planets and other Celestial Stuff - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
They have to be present; you can't have a space environment without stars, planets, moons, etc. I mean, imagine WoW without the terrain, grass, or trees, heh.

990. What do I want to be? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
It doesn't sound like you'll enjoy this game, from what you've described here. EVE is a group PVP game; the point of the game is to gather money so you can fund your war/PVP activities, and it becomes fun when you get in a team or make some frien...

992. Wardec vs. Mutual Wardec - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Yeah, people declare war back, making it mutual, usually for two reasons: 1. So it's free on both sides. 2. So that the "victim" controls when the war ends (or doesn't end). In any case, even if it's one-sided, all involved parties can shoot eac...

995. Why those who want local gone are doomed to disappointment - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]

Also note: a character that has the learning skills already trained to 3/4 or so, will get about 1 million skillpoints per month. A 1-month GTC costs 150 million ISK. And, as it's been said above, a character is typically 200 isk / million SP (per...

997. Mining Question about Fleets and Can Flippers - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Cans jetted by people in a player corp belong to the corp, so when the thief steals, the whole corp gets the flag/killrights. If you're in an NPC corp, the can belongs to you, so only you get to kill the thief. Being fleeted doesn't matter.
